Ho Chi Minh Vietnam 3 cushion World Cup has ended. What spectacular games we watched! Dick Jaspers was the winner and triumphs again, beating Heo Jun Han in the final. Jaspers proved why he is the NUMBER ONE in the world by far. His ELO points
climbed to 1906 leaving the second contender far behind.
Heo Jun Han had a great tournament and climbed to #8 with 1638 ELO points, showing he is in good form and deserves to be in the elite.
Tran Quyet Chien climbed to second place with 1731 ELO points after a magnificent performance losing to Jaspers 50-48 in the semifinal in one of the toughest games of the tournament.
Hwang Bong Joo #97 surprised viewers at the world cup. Starting off strong, his run ended in the semifinal against Heo Jun Han. Earlier he eliminated Dao Vao Ly #30 in the Last 16 and Semih Sidhom #7 in the Last 8. Hwang Bong Joo climbed to #25
The Ho Chi Minh World Cup also took some other exciting turns. Sergio Jimenez #36 had a great tournament. His journey stopped in the Last 8 against Heo Jun Han. Earlier he eliminated Tayfun Tasdemir #4 in the Last 16. Sergio Jimenez Climbed to #10 with 1608 ELO points.
